Mr Cobus Smith: Hessequa Campus Head
Cobus was appointed as the Campus Head of Hessequa Campus in 2012.
He started his career as a radio technician in 1980. After a few years of experience in the electrical light current field, he accepted a position at a Technical College in his field of study. He soon realized his passion for Teaching and Learning. As a Campus Head at Hessequa Campus, he continues to practice his passion.
In his private time, he enjoys the outdoors, photographs wildlife and plays the guitar.
Hessequa Campus
This Campus is another example of what may be achieved when a TVET college, local authorities and Provincial Government take hands for the benefit of the area. Established with ex-MEC of Education in the Western Cape, Mr Cameron Dugmore, it is situated in the picturesque town of Riversdale. Various Learnership and Skills courses have been offered through the Innovation & Development Branch.
The Innovation and Development Branch is very active at Hessequa and a significant number of students have already received Certificates from various SETAs.
Hostel Accommodation is available for students meeting the criteria.
